Nuvo’s Arthritis Lotion Delayed by U.S. Regulators (Update1) (Bloomberg.com)

Dec. 29 (Bloomberg) — U.S. regulators delayed approval of an experimental Nuvo Research Inc. arthritis lotion based on the same method of relieving pain as Merck & Co.’s Vioxx, withdrawn two years ago because of a link to heart attacks and strokes.
