Broadband Adoption Slowest in Years Among U.S. Providers (CircleID)

Broadband adoption among U.S. consumers seems to be slowing, with the three largest broadband providers in the U.S. posting the lowest subscriber increases in years during the second quarter of 2008.

August adoption specials at Suncoast Humane (The Sarasota Herald-Tribune)

The Suncoast Humane Society has announced special pet adoption fees for the month of August. The fees, usually $75 for dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens, have been adjusted to $50 for approved homes. Senior pets, 7 years and older, can be adopted for $35 during the month.

4:45 p.m.- Update: DHS Changes Adoption Age Requirements (KARK Little Rock)

Wednesday, the Department of Human Services said they’re changing some age requirements for adoptions. Adoptive applicants must be at least 21 years of age and an adoption specialist will assess each prospective adoptive parent’s ability to actively parent the child or children they want to adopt.
